3. Risk Control Measures
- Conduct PEP talk before loading/unloading.
- Only inspected vehicles found fit shall be engaged.
- The Split AC units shall be firmly and safely kept in the transportation vehicle.
- The Split AC units shall be tightly and safely secured using Nylon ropes while loading in the vehicle.
- A transportation vehicle/truck with an appropriate platform & foldable side gates shall be engaged to prevent the fall of Split AC units/items.
- Sufficient workmen / Rigger shall be engaged for unloading of Units.
- Use of safety helmets, Shoes, Florescent
- Safety vests and other relevant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE’s) shall be used for all workers/technicians.
- Tools and materials shall not be scattered around the workplace and shall be neatly stacked in a convenient location.
- A pre-use check conducted by users
- All electrical equipment brought on to the site must have been electrically tested.
- Always make sure that the technicians/workers know how to use the electrical equipment/devices safely.
- Make sure and practice good housekeeping. Also make sure that there are no trailing electrical cables that can cause physical injuries to people due to trip or fall.
- If you find any technical fault or damage to the equipment, machinery or device, immediately stop using the equipment. First make maintenance and the proceed to use.
- Always take a great care while using a Residual Current Device (RCD) between the electrical supply and the equipment and or device, particularly when working outdoors, or within a wet or confined place that could be the dangerous.
- Appropriate outlets to help the range of equipment and or devices generally used.
- Use electrical extension leads and adaptors only if mandatory.
- Electrical extension lead’s length and rated high enough for this particular job.
- Always make sure and use electrical cable covers where cables have a trip hazard.
- Always avoid overload for the adopters and sockets. Use single adaptor for single socket only, electrical adaptors should not be plugged into adaptors
- Any unsafe electrical items, device or appliance must be removed from use to safeguard and secure the location until started work properly.
- No one must be permitted to bring them electrical equipment on to the premises
- unless that equipment has been electrically tested.
- Observe and check that the machine/appliance is complete, with all safeguards adjusted appropriately and essentially, and free from technical faults/defects. The term safeguarding means and include automatic or manual guards, interlocks, two-hand controls, light guards, etc.,
- Before installation and adjustment, always make sure that the supplier provides the right and CE mark safeguards.
- Make sure that the every static machine/appliance has been installed properly and as per provided installation design and is in stable condition.
- Always make sure that the machine is switched off, isolated or locked-off before taking any action to remove blockages/housekeeping,
- All working team should be checked for fever and high temperature
- All team members should be free from cough and breathing issues
- All team members should be occupied with surgical masks and gloves
- The working team should be occupied with hand wash and hand sanitisers
- All working team to be made aware of consequences of Virus infection
- Immediate medical assistance to be sought in case of facing any above issues
