Before Installing Or Maintaining Capacitor Or Capacitor Banks YOUR Employees Shall Ensure That They:
- Check For External Shipping Damage, Loose And Missing Parts.
- Check The Insulators And Bushing For Any Damage, for Example; Cracks Or Broken Pieces.
- Record And Verify Nameplate Data In Accordance With The Projects Approved Drawings.
- Ensure Proper Support And Spacing For Conductors.
Verification:
- Check Covers And Doors Install As Per Manufacturer’s Specifications.
- Base Attachments, Bolted Connections, & Clearances In Accordance With Manufacturer’s Specs.
- Check All Conductors Are Labeled And Identified.
- Check That Termination Is Complete & Verify The Proper Configuration In Accordance With Project IFC Drawings And Manufacturer’s Specs.
- Verify That Continuity Testing Has Been Conducted.
- Check External Connections, For Tightness And Correct To The Project Approved Drawings.
- Pull, Tug Method Is Complete After Termination.
- Check All Grounding And Connections In Accordance With The Applicable Code And Manufacturer’s Specs.
- Check The Installation And Operation Of Mechanical Interlocks, If Applicable.
- Check The Grounding Of Armor And Shield Of Cable (If Applicable.)
- Check Protective Fusing For Correct Rating As Per The Projects IFC Drawings & Manufacturer’s Specs.
- Check Warning Signs And Identification Tags Are In Place.
- Inspect For Proper Mounting Identification And Required Clearances.
- Check For Cleanliness.
