Control Measures
- Power tools with integrated dust extraction to be used for long cable runs.
- The work areas are to be zoned off/secured/access-controlled with barriers and signage to warn of hazards.
- PPE (ear, eye, and respiratory) to be provided and worn.
- Suitable PPE to be worn during the chasing out process.
- Others were kept out of the immediate area.
- Well maintained and suitable chasing-out equipment to be used for the duration of the task.
- Before work commences, the surface is to be checked to ensure there are no buried services.
