Hazard / Potential Hazard Identified

  1. Fire due to gas leakage leading to fire while cooking by LPG/stove
  2. Fire due to an electrical short circuit
  3. The outbreak of diseases due to the use of untreated water.
  4. An outbreak of malaria/dengue due to stagnant water. 

Preventative Incident Control

  1. Regular inspection of gas cylinders & gas hoses, 
  2. Supervision. 
  3. Regular inspection of the gas discharge valve.
  4. Regular inspection of the electrical system.
  5. Routine inspection of RCCB/ELCB.
  6. Training to workmen.
  7. Use of smoke detectors.
  8. Use of RO water for drinking water purposes.
  9. Housekeeping near hutments.
  10. Regular maintenance of the RO water plant.
  11. Awareness amongst workers.
  12. Regular pest control and fogging at the site.
  13. Avoid water being stagnant.
  14. Removal of stagnant water.
  15. Health checkup of workmen.
  16. Providing mosquito nets and demos for working.

Consequences Control

  1. Tied up with the nearest hospital.
  2. First Aid center,
  3. Tied up with the nearest hospital.
  4. Fire extinguisher available.
  5. Regular doctor visits at the site.

Causes -Technical/ Human/ Behavioral

Technical:

  1. Faulty gas discharge valve 
  2. lack of regular inspection of gas cylinder 
  3. Damaged gas hose.                   

Human/Behavioral: 

  1. Lack of knowledge & skill, casual approach 
  2. Lack of awareness 
  3. Overconfidence

Technical: 

  1. Improper inspection of the electrical system. 
  2. Use of damaged cable for connection 
  3. Malfunctioning of ELCB/RCCB 
  4. Non-availability of smoke detector 

Human/Behavioral:

  1. Lack of knowledge & skill,
  2. Improper supervision 
  3. Casual approach 
  4. Nonadherence to PPEs

Technical: 

  1. No use of RO water plant for drinking purposes. 
  2. Lack of maintenance of RO water 

Human/Behavioral:

  1. Lack of awareness of hygiene  
  2. Self-cleanliness 
  3. Casual approach 
  4. Housekeeping near hutments.

Technical: 

  1. Stagnant water 
  2. No use of Pest Control  
  3. Regular health checkups of not provide mosquito nets and Podemos. 
  4. No drainage system.
